WE BUILD SUSTAINABLE SCHOOLS FOR Video of African Project
IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN
WHO WE ARE
We are a non profit foundation that is run by a group of committed professionals and volunteers. Our mission is to fund the construction of sustainable schools to empower impoverished children in developing countries.
HOW WE STARTED
Our journey began in 2006 when a 9-year-old boy, Stefan Lyon, came home and announced that he really wanted to build a school for the poorest children in Africa. That day in class he had learned about the extreme poverty in Africa and how it affected the children. “I felt very sorry for the children who were hungry and had no place to go. I wanted to help by building a safe school for the poorest children there. After I promised to work hard and raise the money my mom agreed to help me.” A year after finding a suitable location, his little school was built and filled with children. As donations continued to come in we continued to build schools for impoverished children who otherwise have no path out of poverty.
